Join us as we kick off Black History Month and launch this series to highlight the artists of 22 South Carolinians through conversation to learn more about their practices and concepts. Drop by to explore the topic of Afrofuturism and its influence on the creative practice of featured artists Raishad Glover, Dogon Krigga, Isaac Udogwu, and Cedric Umoja with moderator Kyle C. Coleman. Going strong for several decades, Afrofuturism explores the connections of the Black diaspora with ancestors across the spectrum of music, film, visual, digital, dance, and literary arts.
