Tuesday
August 15, 2023
6:30 pm-8:00 pm
The Columbia Museum of Art joins Richland Library in their ongoing series Let’s Talk Race to facilitate discussions that tackle a variety of topics through the lens of race, equity, and inclusion. Every conversation is different and offers community members the opportunity to take part in this honest and courageous dialogue. This month, Let’s Talk Race features discussion around works from the exhibition Resurgence and Renaissance: Art of the Catawba Nation Since 1973, showcasing the living traditions of Catawba arts, culture, and heritage. The conversation explores not only art, but contemporary issues facing native and Indigenous peoples. This event will take place over Zoom. The event link will be sent to the email address associated with your library card one day prior to the event. Free. Registration required.
This program is funded in part by SC Humanities, a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
