Plaza Rhythms: Indian Classical Dance

Dr. Anuradha Murali, artistic director of Mrudani School of Performing Arts, demonstrates the nuances of two different styles of Indian classical dance, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. The lecture/demonstration focuses on the techniques specific to each style. Audience participation encouraged.

Murali has had formal training in Bharatanatyam from Shanta and VP Dhananjayan and Kuchipudi from P. Rajeshwari and Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam.
