Friday Night HortiCULTURE
Friday, April 16 | 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. | Galleries open 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Enjoy a vibrant outdoor evening of culture and horticulture on Boyd Plaza. At sunset, take in a screening of Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf (2017), the award-winning documentary about the revolutionary Dutch garden designer. Prior to the screening, the CMA welcomes horticulturalist and Historic Columbia Director of Grounds Keith Mearns and landscape designer, artist, and horticulturalist Dave Robbins for a botanically driven conversation. Discover what it takes to create your own backyard paradise just like Piet Odolf or your own floral designs just like our wonderful Art Blossoms artists, and get a sense for what the Columbia plant scene has to offer by asking these green guys your plant questions. Conversation begins at 7:00 p.m. followed by the film screening at sundown. 1h 16min. Ticket includes admission to the CMA galleries during the event.
Priority registration for members only through Friday, February 12. $35.
Art Blossoms is a unique exhibition that also serves as a fundraiser for the Columbia Museum of Art. Every ticket you purchase for the exhibition and its related events supports the CMA's award-winning arts education and programming and helps to ensure a thriving creative community in the Midlands
