Sunday
February 16, 2020
2:00 pm
In recognition of Black History Month, docent Nancy Tolson explores works by African American artists in the CMA collection. From Robert Duncanson, a landscape artist that was included in Frederick Douglass’ North Star newspaper, to Michaela Pilar Brown, a national award-winning visual and performance artist who resides in Columbia, this tour reflects diversity in the visual arts from photography to furniture to metal sculpture. Focal Points is a series of gallery talks featuring topics and themes near and dear to the hearts of tour guides and staff.
