Filipino American History Month Celebration

Celebrate Filipino American History Month during Soda City Market with the Filipino American Association of Greater Columbia (FAAGC) in collaboration with the SC Commission for Minority Affairs and the CMA. Head to Boyd Plaza  to enjoy a showcase of traditional clothing and items from the Philippines and get hands-on by creating your own Filipino lanterns, called parol. At 11:00 a.m. take in live demonstrations of traditional Filipino dances by the FAAGC Dance Group, and at noon learn how to dance the “Tinkling.” Come by and learn more about the culture of the Philippines, right here in Columbia!
