Narrated by Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, this dazzling documentary reveals the variety and diversity of Islamic art. The CMA and the Southeastern Piano Festival present Sergei Babayan, one of the most celebrated pianists in the piano world today. Babayan is known as an artist of uncommon depth and sensitivity. He was born in Armenia, trained at the Moscow Conservatory under legendary teachers and pianists and is the winner of several major piano competitions.

Brad Collins Pop Art Lecture and Book SigningNoon
Join USC art history professor Brad Collins for a lecture on his new book Pop Art: The Independent Group to Neo Pop, 1952-1990. Collins discusses the long-standing argument about whether Pop was for or against popular culture. He believes Pop artists were using the materials of popular culture for a wide variety of personal reasons, similar to the way earlier artists used mythology or the Bible. Collins specializes in contemporary American art with a special focus on Pop Art and Andy Warhol. A book signing follows the lecture. Books are available for purchase in the Museum Shop.
